InvestWise (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates weinvestwisely.com and any associated browser extensions. We provide AI-powered due diligence tools for retail investors researching crowdfunding opportunities.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in, we collect your email address. We use Supabase to manage authentication. We do not collect passwords — sign-in is passwordless via one-time codes.
Usage Data
We log the URLs and platforms you analyze, the analyses generated, and when you use the service. This helps us improve accuracy and detect abuse.
Screenshots & Manual Inputs
If you upload a screenshot or enter offering terms manually, that content is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your analysis. We do not store raw screenshots beyond the duration of your request.
Technical Data
We collect IP addresses and request metadata for rate limiting and security purposes. We do not sell this data.

- To authenticate your account and maintain session security
- To send analysis completion notifications (if you opt in to alerts)
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described in Section 4.

Saved analyses are retained until you delete them or close your account. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@weinvestwisely.com.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies to maintain your authenticated session (via Supabase). We use browser local storage to cache analysis history for performance. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
7. Chrome Extension
The InvestWise Chrome extension reads the URL of the active tab on supported crowdfunding sites to pre-fill the analysis form. It does not read page content or transmit browsing history. All analysis requests are routed through the same API as the web app and are subject to the same data practices described in this policy.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@weinvestwisely.com.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, server-side session management, and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure; please do not submit sensitive personal financial information beyond what is needed for analysis.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
